The Jeffersoniads publishes news, analysis, and commentary about Virginia and national politics, culture, policy, technology, and related topics. Much of the archive is opinion and interpretive commentary written by named authors. Readers should treat analysis and advocacy as the author’s views unless a piece is clearly presented as a straight news report.
Facts and opinion
Where an article states verifiable facts — election results, poll numbers, dates, quotations, or public records — we aim for accuracy. Where an article argues a position, rates a candidate, or interprets events (including pieces that criticize polling, parties, or named public figures), that material is commentary. Strong language or a decisive headline does not convert opinion into an official finding.
Corrections
If you believe a published article contains a factual error, please email haithemhamtinee@gmail.com with:
- the article URL,
- the specific statement you believe is wrong, and
- a source or explanation supporting the correction.
Substantiated factual errors will be corrected on the page when practical, or noted clearly if the original wording must remain for archival context. Disagreements about interpretation, tone, or political judgment are not treated as corrections.
Updates and archival material
Many posts are historical. Dates, officeholders, and campaign contexts reflect the time of publication. We do not silently rewrite historical commentary to match later events; we may add clarifying notes when an error is confirmed.
Independence
Authors are responsible for their own bylines. Publication on The Jeffersoniads does not mean every contributor speaks for every other contributor, or that the site endorses every claim in the archive. See also the Disclaimer.
