News from State Senator Mark Obenshain this afternoon confirms rumors that Lynchburg attorney Mark Peake will indeed carry the nomination for the Republican Party to fill the vacancy in SEN-22.

Peake will now square off against either Katie Webb Cyphert from Lynchburg, or former Fluvanna County Sheriff Ryant Washington. The special election will be held on January 10th.
